Wait, there's a draft this year?

All I have written down is that we're waiting for Point to sign.

Callahan placed on LTIR with degenerative back disease.

So much for a buyout or trade...

I don't understand the "not really part." From the tweets I read, this saves the Bolts season. Assuming an $82million cap, as long as the Lightning's cap hit starts the year at $87.8 million (82+Cally's 5.8), the Lightning will be able to put Cally on LTIR and be able to spend to the $82 all season long.

We don't have to give up picks and prospects to unload his salary, as long as our team cap hit minus Cally equals $82 we are golden. If we're under the $82, then whatever amount we are under the $82 by, we do not get that extra salary cap savings from putting Cally on LTIR.

Callahan just bought a condo on Robidas Island.
